A Visit to The Nursing Home.

On Sabbath, the 27th of November, just a few days after Thanksgiving, 7 young men included myself, decided to visit the nursing home in Dallas Georgia, as a Ministry that was started several years ago. This afternoon was a little on the cold side, but our faith was resolute and our minds were made up to put a smile on someone's face.
We arrived at the Nursing Home and  the "Spirit led seven" were ready to share some joy to the residents of this facility.Do you know that many mothers and fathers have been taken to nursing homes across this great country, to die a lonely life?.You should see the tears and hear the cries of these wonderful people, whose bodies and minds are rapidly failing  them, and now they are crying out for someone to love them. I am so thankful, that there is a God, that promise us that, He will never leave us or forsake us, and that He will be with us always until the very end!!. That is "Good News". Let us not forget that we too are getting older, and this could be one of our stops(nursing home)before we are called to the grave.
Yes we had a wonderful time with our senior citizens, and we were blessed,as they show their appreciation,in words and in songs. We now have a better understanding, that it is more "blessed to give than to receive".This wonderful day proved beyond a shadow of doubt that, to live is to give and remember it doesn't matter how small or large as long as it is done from the heart.
